GRE Requirements for US University Admissions

GRE is almost mandatory for graduate admission for almost all of engineering branches; there could be some exceptions that we would list later in our website. Students applying for the GRE Test must have some awareness of the application process and various other procedures regarding the universities they intent to apply. They must adhere to admission policies, and keep a well organized and required documentation to increase their chances of getting seat in a reputed US university. Securing good marks is indeed the first goal to achieve admission in the university they intend to apply for, know the score range for the US university admission is a not a general information that is available to all. Some universities may provide the minimum score for admission but don’t usually provide the GRE score range. The best way to find is from the seniors of the university who might be guide based on their experience. The average GRE score starts from 1100 and a score of above 1500 can lead admission to happen in MIT also depending on the field of study.

There could be some universities that provide a minimum GRE score requirement, it is important student take a serious note of it if at all a number is mentioned in the requirement.  With the new GRE format not only the Quantitative and Verbal scores but also writing assessment score is playing a important part in the admission decision specially for non native English students.
